Patello Brace

A knee brace targeting the patellar tendon. Developed from first principles: tendon load, comfort, adjustability. Soft-goods prototypes built in our own workshop; the final prototype was validated with Lieke Martens; the technical pack and pattern set were handed off to a production partner in China. Packaging included.

Challenge. Support the patellar tendon while balancing load, comfort and adjustability in a wearable product.

Approach. WAUD worked from first principles with physiotherapists and users, building and refining soft-goods prototypes in its own workshop.

Development. The final prototype was validated with Lieke Martens. WAUD then prepared the technical pack and pattern set for a production partner in China, including the packaging work.

Outcome. The final prototype, technical pack, pattern set and packaging work were delivered for production handoff.
